At 1255 grams packed weight, this single-person shelter eliminates the dependency on trekking poles while maintaining an ultralight profile suitable for extended backcountry expeditions. The unique pole geometry creates a stable structure with steep walls and 121 cm peak height, providing 2 square meters of optimized sleeping space that accommodates standard sleeping pads with room to spare.

The dual vestibule configuration delivers 1.5 square metres of additional storage capacity across two entry points, enabling efficient gear organization and enhanced weather protection during challenging conditions. Both doors feature full-length zippers for convenient access, while the removable gear loft provides elevated storage solutions for essential items. The tent's construction employs 20D silicone-coated polyester for the canopy, 40D silicone-coated polyester for the bathtub floor, and 20D no-see-um mesh panels, balancing durability with weight considerations across high-stress and breathable zones. 

Setup procedure centers on DAC aluminum pole architecture that establishes the tent's freestanding capability, measuring 228 centimeters in length and 86 centimeters in width at the sleeping area. Total width including both vestibules extends to 254 centimeters, while packed dimensions remain compact at 40 centimeters for both shelter and poles. The system includes aluminum stakes, pole repair sleeve, and dedicated stuff sack, with the shelter and sack weighing 765.4 grams independent of the pole set.

Ventilation design incorporates extensive mesh paneling throughout the canopy structure, working in conjunction with the dual-door layout to facilitate airflow management across varying weather scenarios. The side guy line attachment points enable precise tensioning for wind stability, while the bathtub floor construction provides protection from ground moisture. This configuration positions the Lunar Orbiter as a versatile solution for backpackers transitioning between trekking pole shelters and traditional tent systems, or for those requiring freestanding capability in alpine environments, established campgrounds, or rocky terrain where stake placement proves challenging.

Important: Seams aren't sealed. We recommend to use GEAR AID Seam Grip SIL seam sealer to achieve complete waterproofness. We do not offer seam sealing service at this time. It is important to note that seam sealed products can no longer be returned within 30 days. However, the product is still under warranty.
